American Taekwondo Association (ATA Martial Arts)
All students and instructors at our studio locations are not just a great martial arts family. But all are a part of the World's Best Martial Arts Organization known as the ATA Martial Arts. Founded by 10th Degree Black Belt, Eternal Grand Master H.U. Lee, in 1969, the ATA has been the World's most successful, well recognized, and #1 leading Martial Arts Organization. With the ATA's impressive professionalism with creating top quality martial artists and leaders, the vision of our Eternal Grand Master has continuously been accomplished and thriving with changing people's lives physically and mentally through the martial arts over the span of almost 60 years. Well over 2 million lives around the world have been dramatically changed because of the hearts and leaders of this association.
Eternal Grand Master was recognized as the most influential man in all of Taekwondo. Having been taught by the creator of the name "Taekwondo", Gerneral Choi, the General of the Korean Army, and becoming one of his black belts and instructors, Eternal Grand Master was one of the first pioneers in introducing the world of Taekwondo to the United States in the mid 50's. Before his passing in October of 2000, Eternal Grand Master became the one and only 10th Degree Black Belt in all of Taekwondo, nominated by other Grand Masters of Taekwondo with great Honor and Respect. Many celebrities to this day that Eternal Grand Master has had the privilege of teaching throughout his years, still recognize him in gratitude for his selfless sacrifice as a leader and martial artist, including Chuck Norris.
Although with the passing of the Eternal Grand Master, the ATA organization has thrived effortlessly by the devoted students under Eternal Grand Master and have taken the ATA to new heights around the world, thus, continuing Eternal Grand Master's vision from the start with changing people's lives. With the guidance and leadership of our other Grand Masters, the ATA Master's Council, and other founding fathers of the association, the ATA still continues to be the World's absolute best and supreme Martial Arts Organization all year round!
